OverviewInterbeton has an excellent opportunity for a Accounting and Administration Supervisor in our office in Thessaloniki. The position reports to the Ready-Mix Operations Manager and involves leading a team of accountants. The primary purpose of this role is to manage and oversee financial transactions in line with appropriate accounting procedures and to support the daily operations of our local offices.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of accountants, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulations and tax laws.
- Oversee all aspects of general accounting, including invoice verification, fixed asset monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Manage financial transactions, including checks, petty cash, and credit approvals, while maintaining customer and supplier agreements.
- Supervise employee scheduling and HR systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws.
- Administer the ERGANI system, including submission of schedule modifications, overtime, and extra work hours for unit employees.
- Collaborate with production units and external partners to resolve issues and manage contracts.
- Cultivate relationships with local authorities and stakeholders to promote company interests.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and support decision-making processes.
- Monitor and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while driving continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting and administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth understanding of tax and labor laws.
- Strong command of Greek and English.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and HRMS.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and responsibility for achieving goals.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build trust.
- Strong crisis management and strategic thinking abilities.
