Overview
FCID is seeking an Accounting Manager to primarily support the business operations in Greece.  The role will report into the Senior Manager, Accounting and Tax EMEA located in Italy and to the local Business Manager.  Primary responsibilities include management of local accounting, tax and filings operations in Greece and support the local General manager in a growing environment.  In addition, this role will also provide as-needed support to the Italy organic certification business unit.
AccountabilitiesPrepare monthly closure using Netsuite, GL accounts reconciliations/reclasses, IC reconciliations, AR/AP details, bank details, dividend payments and other cash transfer across the Group;Coordinate and oversee the tax matters and deal with local advisor and US tax Manager. Tax matters are mainly related to current income taxes, DTA/DTL, VAT, WHT, R&D deductions opportunities etc;Manage Preparation of monthly accrual and related supporting documentation;Support to Global Finance function in implementing new accounting principles/tools;Support to Global Finance function in automatizing the internal flow (from paper to shared folders);Manage and coordinate local statutory audit and all the local filings;Deal with advisor (accounting, tax, auditors) and provide document to complete statutory, vat and income tax declaration.Core competencies / requirementsProven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations with ideally strong experience with IFRS or US GAAPExperience of minimum 2 years in Audit (preferably Big 4 or tier 2 audit firms)Experience of minimum 2 years in a multinational group (ideally operating in service market)Prefer CPA or other local chartered accountant qualification Knowledge of Microsoft package (Should have high Excel proficiency)NetSuite experience a plus – but not requiredAbility to work in an international, fast paced and change driven environmentAbility to manage an heterogenous team, composed by many individuals, with different competences and backgrounds;Proactivity, high attention to detail and accuracy.Place of work is Athens – role can be hybrid or remoteLanguage: fluent English, big bonus if also conversational in ItalianRegular visits to the Athens office is expected, especially during the onboarding period.
