We are currently looking for an Accounting & Tax Supervisor who can contribute to driving the accounting operations forward

As our new Accountant you will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Sales Controlling, Customer Service and Marketing colleagues. This job is a great opportunity to accelerate your career in the FMCG industry

Accounting & Tax Supervisor - Athens, Greece

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate actuals and timely submission of monthly results.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax audits; ensure full compliance with Greek legislation and IFRS/Arla policies.
  • Oversee VAT and indirect tax preparation/submission, MyData reviews, and annual recycling statement.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and master data maintenance; review entries from the Central Service Center.
  • Run warehouse books and product costing; monitor promotional spend/accruals and deliver on going marketing spend reports.

What will make you successful

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, or related field; recognized accountancy qualification (ideally CIMA) and valid Greek accounting certification.
  • 5+ years post-qualification experience with leadership responsibilities, ideally in FMCG/food.
  • Proven hands-on experience with tax audits and statutory audits in Greece.
  • Proven mastery of SAP S/4HANA and BW, as well as exceptional skills in MS Office, enabling effective and efficient management of complex systems and data.
  • Fluent in Greek and English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
