Role Overview

We are seeking a
Regional Trade & Infrastructure Policy Analyst
to support structured research and project advisory related to trade facilitation, regional integration, and port-centric development in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.

This is a remote role based in Athens and is suited for individuals with a background in international trade, policy reform, transport economics, or infrastructure governance—particularly those experienced in EU-aligned reforms or donor-funded technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy and infrastructure research on regional trade integration, logistics corridors, and port modernization
  • Contribute to technical briefs, diagnostics, and benchmarking studies for public-sector clients and development institutions
  • Analyze institutional frameworks, regulatory challenges, and alignment with international trade protocols (e.g. WTO TFA, EU TEN-T, UNCTAD frameworks)
  • Map stakeholders in trade and logistics governance across the Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean
  • Support preparation of thematic reports, project memos, and stakeholder presentations
  • Track regional developments in customs reform, maritime connectivity, and transport strategy

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (or final-year candidate) in International Trade, Public Policy, Transport Planning, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in policy analysis, logistics strategy, or technical advisory
  • Experience with donor-funded projects (EU, World Bank, UN agencies) is a plus
  • Familiarity with port governance, regional trade corridors, or Mediterranean transport infrastructure
  • Strong writing skills for technical documentation and stakeholder communications
  • Fluency in English required
