Junior Information Technology Specialist

We are looking for a Junior Information Technology Specialist to join our delivery team working directly for a key customer in the energy sector. The successful candidate will be part of the Billing Systems Support group, ensuring the smooth daily operation of critical SAP IS-U and adjacent applications. This role is central to maintaining the integrity of the customer's billing cycle and supporting the digital transformation of their energy business processes.

What will you do:

• Oversee and assist with daily Meter-to-Cash (M2C) operations and billing processes in SAP IS-U and its associated systems.
• Conduct routine validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance assessments on billing data and procedures.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges impacting billing operations and data transactions.
• Engage in testing and configuration tasks within non-production environments to ensure preparedness for new updates or enhancements.
• Work closely with development and architecture teams to design and implement process enhancements.
• Document workflows, incidents, and configuration modifications to facilitate effective knowledge transfer within the team.
• Interface with business stakeholders to offer technical support, address issues, and maintain process stability.
• Play a role in the ongoing enhancement of system performance, data integrity, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in system analysis or data support.
• Proficiency in SQL and an understanding of fundamental database management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

Considered a plus:

• Prior experience in energy or natural gas operations.
• Basic understanding of networking and information-security principles.
• Exposure to cloud services (Azure or other platforms).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools and data-analysis applications.
• Working knowledge of SAP IS-U and its key functionalities.
• Understanding of business processes in the energy or utilities sector.

Work Environment & Schedule:

Location: On-site at the client's facilities in Athens, Greece, with the potential for a hybrid work setup.
Schedule: Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, with possible overtime or on-call responsibilities during critical billing periods.
