A key focus on improving company profits by maximising voyage returns and reducing costs. It is expected for you to be working independently and proactively within the operations team in Europe, who are operating all our vessels in Pacific/Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean with room for individual opportunities and responsibilities as the company grows.

The responsibilities include but not limited to:

-Liaising with the vessels/agents/other external parties to ensure smooth operations.

-Time charter operations

-Voyage operations including stowage optimizing

-Issuing invoices and hire statements

-Handling of claims and charter party disputes with support from our legal department

-Negotiating port disbursement accounts and issuing invoices and hire statements

-Bunker planning

The role will have a close daily dialogue with the chartering team to ensure the company's high standards of vessel operating is met. You will also be maintaining relationships with valued and high-profile clients.

-Team player who works well with others, but who can work as an individual and make independent decisions

-min 5 years of experience with operations of dry bulk vessels, preferably Handysize with an Owner/Operator, both time chartered in/-out tonnage and voyage operations

About the Company

grain compass is a global operator of Handysize/Supramax vessels in addition to acting as commercial manager for a renowned Ship Owner. Founded in Budapest in 2019 grain compass has grown from being a single employee company the first 4 years to having a global presence with offices in Mumbai, Budapest, Athens of 25 employees worldwide with an average of 35-40 Handysize/Supramax vessels on the water at any given time.
