Role Overview

We are seeking a
Strategic Trade Corridors Consultant
to contribute to structured research and policy engagements centered on maritime trade access, port reform, and regional logistics strategies. The consultant will support analytical work and advisory projects related to trade corridor governance, institutional benchmarking, and port policy frameworks—with a special focus on Southern Europe and Eastern Mediterranean interfaces.

This is a remote opportunity, ideally suited to policy professionals or applied researchers with a solid grasp of port economics, cross-border logistics, or public sector modernization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on port access dynamics, regional infrastructure gaps, and trade facilitation challenges
  • Draft policy notes and strategic briefs on logistics modernization, corridor integration, and regulatory streamlining
  • Support comparative analysis of institutional models in port governance and customs management
  • Map key actors, stakeholder frameworks, and governance bodies across strategic trade routes
  • Translate technical diagnostics into implementation-focused recommendations for clients and partners
  • Track relevant reforms, EU neighborhood policies, and cross-regional connectivity initiatives

Qualifications

  • Background in Public Policy, International Trade, Infrastructure Planning, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in policy consulting, trade facilitation, port planning, or logistics development
  • Familiarity with Mediterranean trade corridors, EU integration mechanisms, or customs reform initiatives is preferred
  • Strong written and analytical skills; ability to distill complex systems into accessible insights
  • Experience in working with multilateral agencies, public institutions, or donor-funded programs
  • Fluency in English required
