Responsibilities:
  • Monitors the legislation concerning Occupational Health and Safety and ensures that safety technicians and employees are informed
  • Studies and monitors the course of occupational accidents and other incidents in the PPC Group, utilizing indicators and statistics and provides analyses and proposes actions to reduce them
  • Monitors compliance with legislative obligations and internal procedures concerning occupational accidents
  • Collects and maintains records that include a) recorded accidents, b) the records of Safety Technicians in the relevant book, c) as well as the results of Occupational Health and Safety (mainly regarding non-compliances)
  • Plans and implements Occupational Health and Safety Trainings with the aim of ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, preventing occupational accidents and occupational diseases, as well as strengthening the safety culture among employees
  • Supports the Group Health, Safety and Environment General Division, its Departments and other organizational structures, for participation in workshops, conferences, competitions and other events concerning Occupational Health and Safety issues
  • Collects data regarding the aforementioned (accidents, training, non-compliances), for the Company's annual published Reports, the Annual Report and other actions of the Company, in collaboration with the competent Information Team of the Group Health, Safety and Environment General Division
  • Supports the operation of the Internal Protection and Prevention Service and the External Protection and Prevention Service
Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree from a University or College or Technological Educational Institute with a subject of study that in any case will be included in the permitted specialties of Safety Technicians
  • Master's degree related to Occupational Health and Safety and the work environment will be considered an additional qualification
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience in statistical accident analysis, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), planning and coordination of Occupational Health and Safety training activities and programs, as well as working as a Safety Technician
  • Experience in large companies/organizations will be considered an additional qualification
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
  • Knowledge of Excel Advanced will be considered an additional qualification
  • Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
  • Availability for urgent geographical relocations
