in Athens to work with our clients in th
e European public sector.

We are looking for a highly skilled
Senior VMware Specialist
to lead the design, implementation, and management of our virtualized infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in VMware technologies, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of our systems.

Your role:

• Design, deploy, and maintain VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX).
• Monitor and optimize performance of virtual machines and hosts.
• Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerCLI, Python, or Ansible.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for repeatable deployments.
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using tools like Veeam or Commvault.
• Ensure high availability and business continuity through clustering and replication.
• Apply security hardening guidelines to VMware environments.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO
• Work closely with network, storage, and application teams to support business services.
• Provide Tier 3 support and mentor junior engineers.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing VMware environments in enterprise settings.
• VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-DCV, VCAP) strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, storage, networking, and cloud integration.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., vRealize Operations, SolarWinds).
• You must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality in required).

Nice to have:

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with NSX-T, Horizon View, and Tanzu.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

*This role may require flexibility, including shift-based work and on-call responsibilities, depending on operational needs.
