As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced
HSE Engineer
to join our team. As the HSE Engineer, you will be the cornerstone of our safety culture in Greece. Your role will ensure that all projects operate safely, legally and in line with international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main HSE representative for Greece, ensuring legal compliance with Greek occupational health & safety legislation, labour inspectorate requirements and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain HSE documentation (risk assessments, method statements, safety plans, emergency procedures, permits to work).
  • Conduct site inspections and safety audits at wind farms and service locations to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
  • Deliver GWO trainings (BST, BTT and other wind-related safety modules) and maintain training records for site staff.
  • Lead toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
  • Investigate accidents, near-misses and unsafe conditions, and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Liaise with local authorities, clients, and subcontractors on HSE matters, representing the company during inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with the German head office to harmonise HSE standards across borders.

Location:
Greece – hybrid role with frequent travel to the GWO Academy in Xanthi and office-based work, with occasional trips to wind farms.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, with recognised electrical qualifications.
  • Solid experience in HSE roles, preferably within the wind energy or wider renewables/industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of Greek health & safety legislation and ability to apply it to daily site operations.
  • Practical wind turbine experience (service, installation, or blade repair is an advantage).
  • Fluent in English (mandatory); German is a plus.
  • Strong communication, leadership and reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel to our GWO Training Academy in Xanthi and Germany for HSE Support and for training duties.
