As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for participating in the daily tasks of the Accounting department.

Recently based in Athens, F ZEEN RETEATS owns projects in Kefalonia and is one of the largest hospitality groups on the island. Projects in development include an exclusive boutique hotel in Athens and 5* retreats in other Greek Islands. What you'll do
- Compiling and reviewing financial information.
- Preparing financial forms, documents, and reports.
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial statements.
- Assisting with accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll processing.
- Preparing and submitting accurate tax filings (e.g., VAT, withholding taxes, VIES, myDATA).
- Oversee the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with other departments, auditors, and external stakeholders as needed.
- Support daily accounting operations and ensure the implementation of accounting standards.
- Complying with federal, state, and local legal regulations and requirements.
- Prepare and submit management reports in a timely manner and also ensure delivery deadlines
What we are looking for
- BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- MSc degree in related field will be considered as an advantage
- Minimum 2 years of proven working experience in accounting, ideally in a hotel environment
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
- Organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
