General Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 -2 years of experience in relevant function, preferably in a shipping agency
  • University Degree from the relevant departments
  • Computer literacy at a very good level
  • Very good knowledge of English (verbal/written)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with customer focus
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and follow up
  • Ability to communicate with team and work cross-functionally
  • Good computer skills, especially in shipping systems, spread sheet and office packages

Job Description

  • Providing excellent customer service according to corporate values
  • Following up on customer requests and acting proactively to resolve issues
  • Informing customers about container tracking, schedules, and return of empties
  • Coordinating door deliveries, customs clearance, and export/import documentation
  • Following up the vessel's allocation by sending forecasts to the trade and in cases needed involving Trade & Pricing Dept for further assistance
  • Handling booking requests, inputting details into local systems, and ensuring confirmations
  • Communicating with customers to solve upcoming issues via email or phone
  • Sending booking forecasts, shipping instructions and documentation to relevant departments and following up T/S cargo for coordinating earlier arrival at final POD
  • Coordinating with transshipment teams for smooth cargo connections
  • Handling IMO booking requests by following the specific procedure of Arkas Line, checking IMO approval with Trade or Vessel Operator before booking confirmation
  • Informing partners about extra costs (storage, overdues, idle, demurrages, undelivered, repair costs, cleaning costs) and resolving discrepancies with customers in coordination with sales, agents, accounting and equipment control department
  • Monitoring cargo routes, re-exports, and COD cargoes to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintaining statistical data and preparing reports when required
  • Promoting updates on new services, tools, and daily schedules
