MARESCO LTD is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Project Manager / Research Coordinato
r
to lead complex, multidisciplinary R&D initiatives in marine/underwater structural engineering, marine robotics, control systems and navigation, underwater communication, sensors technologies, Marine & Oceanographic Sciences, and engineering & integration domains, with a strong emphasis on EU-funded research programs such as EDF, Horizon Europe, or H2020.

About the Role

This leadership role involves coordinating technical workstreams, ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance, and serving as the primary interface between the project consortium and external stakeholders, including European funding bodies.

The position is aligned with one of the following complementary domains and includes:

· EU-Funded R&D Program Management (EDF, EDA, Horizon Europe, H2020)

· Risk Analysis and Compliance (especially in defense/security contexts)

· Interdisciplinary coordination across technical teams

· Communication with funding bodies, reporting, and deliverable tracking

Domain1: Marine Systems & Structural Engineering

Expertise in:

· Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering

· Marine & Underwater Autonomous Unmanned Vehicles (AUVs/UUVs/USVs)

· Structural Analysis and Design

· Finite Element Modelling (FEM)

· Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

· Mechanical Design and Prototyping

· CAD/CAM tools and processes

Domain 2: Embedded Systems & Data Fusion

Expertise in:

· Embedded Systems Design and Development

· Real-Time Data Processing and Sensor Fusion

· Signal Processing for Marine Platforms

· Control Systems and Mechatronics

· Systems Integration for autonomous platforms

· Experience with onboard sensor suites and actuators

Candidate Profile

  • PhD or MEng in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Physics
  • 10+ years of professional experience in applied research and technology development
  • Demonstrated success in managing or coordinating EU-funded R&D projects
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
