, for a dynamic professional to cover the following position:

HR & Payroll Generalist

Job Description:


•Collaborate with external payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution


•Process and validate payroll for all employees in compliance with legal and internal regulations


•Prepare and report taxes, social contributions and other payroll-related obligations to authorities


•Provide advice and support to managers in salary and benefits matters


•Ensure compliance with laws, collective agreements and internal company policies


•Keep up to date with legal and regulatory developments affecting payroll


•Handle labour law issues and maintain contact with trade unions


•Support managers in HR-related matters, including recruitment, onboarding and employee relations


•Develop, implement, and improve HR policies and procedures


•Maintain personnel files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and GDPR compliance


•Keep up to date with labour law, regulations and HR-related trends


•Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Health & Safety and other departments


•Emphasize and promote a service-oriented culture across departments and stores


•Organize and distribute work within HR and payroll functions


•Maintain close cooperation with the HR department in Germany, employer associations and other external partners

Candidate Profile:


•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field


•Three (3) years of relevant working experience in HR and payroll administration, ideally in the Retail Industry


•Practical experience in payroll processing, reporting to authorities and working with external payroll providers


•Solid knowledge of Greek Accounting standards


•Very good knowledge of the Greek legislation and financial systems


•Familiarity with HR systems, timekeeping software and payroll applications


•Proficient user of MS Office (particularly Excel) and HR/payroll tools


•Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required


•German language skills are considered an advantage but not mandatory


•Strong communication and interpersonal abilities and capacity to maintain positive employee relations


•Team-oriented and service-minded, with a proactive and problem-solving approach
