The Role
As
Capability Manager
, first and foremost

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Partnership: Engage deeply with key partners to diagnose opportunities in skill, knowledge, attitude, behaviors, and execution. Understand clearly what 'excellent performance' looks like in our context.
  • Capability Design & Delivery: Translate country business strategy into capability priorities and roadmap the path to uplift for Greece and Poland. Design and deliver capability-building programs: blended learning (on-the-job, coaching, workshops, digital), playbooks, tools, frameworks that resonate with commercial teams. Ensure people see their path for upskilling, are motivated to learn, and able to apply what they learn as they go.
  • Embedding Foundations: Build internal foundations: define competency and behavioral frameworks for commercial and marketing roles; embed routines; governance; ensure systems reinforce learning and performance.
  • Measurement & Accountability: Use data, diagnostics, and assessments to set baselines, track progress, measure return on investment. Build dashboards and reports to hold both your team and business leaders accountable.
  • Change Leadership: Be a change agent: provide insight and challenge where needed, inspire trust and safety, partner closely across HR and Functional Leadership to make capability a business priority.
  • Language Capability: Fluency in English, great knowledge of Greek and/or Polish highly desired

What We're Looking For

  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of sales, trade, and marketing levers, customer dynamics, and what it takes to win in the market.
  • Experience: Proven experience in commercial capability-building, learning and development across business functions, ideally in FMCG or fast-moving sectors.
  • Data Fluency: Comfortable with quantitative and qualitative diagnostics, tracking metrics, reporting business impact, and driving accountability.
  • Execution Excellence: Ability to plan strategically and execute with precision now.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and collaboration skills; ability to build trust, challenge the status quo, and ensure people are engaged and motivated.
  • Learning Orientation: Passion for learning and personal development; belief in people growth; enjoyment in enabling others to upskill; staying abreast of external trends and standard processes.

What Success Looks Like

  • Capability Improvement: Clear improvements in commercial capability metrics in Greece and Poland (skills, behaviors, performance) plus strong uptake of learning and upskilling initiatives.
  • Operational Strengthening: Commercial operations visibly strengthened: better execution, consistent use of frameworks/tools, stronger alignment between strategic priorities and daily practices.
  • Data-Driven ROI: Data-driven evidence of value: investments in capability return business outcomes.
  • Leadership Recognition: Recognition from commercial and marketing leadership as a trusted partner who delivers tangible impact.
