Role Overview

We are looking for a Back-End Developer to join our team in Athens. This is a full-time, hybrid role where you will collaborate with our experienced Development team to build and maintain Marpoint's unique services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust backend systems for Marpoint's services.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and scalable system design.
  • Continuously optimize system performance and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • BSc in Information Technology or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of development experience using C# .NET.
  • Strong knowledge of REST API Web Services and Data Access Design Patterns.
  • Familiarity with Model-View-Controller (MVC) design principles.
  • Experience with distributed source control systems like Git, Docker, and Continuous Integration (CI) deployments.
  • Proficiency in MySQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Ability to work efficiently both on your own initiative and within a team.
  • Completed military obligations (for male candidates).

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with computer network principles.
  • Experience in performance optimization and scalable system design.
  • Participation in architecture decisions or mentoring junior developers.
  • Previous experience with ElasticSearch, Redis, or AWS Services.
  • Familiarity with React (helpful for collaboration, but not required).
