R&D MLOps Engineer (Thessaloniki)

Job Description

•Lead Research and Development initiatives in AI/ML infrastructure automation, predictive modelling and Large Language Model (LLM) fine-tuning within the framework of R&D projects

•Design, implement and test advanced automation frameworks and data/model pipelines for AI/ML applications, predictive analytics and LLM fine-tuning infrastructure

•Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models and LLM fine-tuning workflows, including model training, validation, deployment and monitoring for research project deployments

•Build and orchestrate end-to-end data science pipelines, from data ingestion and preprocessing to model training, evaluation and production deployment, including specialized workflows for LLM fine-tuning and custom model adaptation

•Meet strict deadlines for deliverables of R&D projects

•Contribute to new Research and Development proposals, focusing on infrastructure automation, AI/ML operations, data science innovation and emerging LLM technologies

Candidate Profile

•Bachelor's or master's degree in Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

• 1 to 3 years of experience in MLOps Engineering roles, with demonstrated experience in data science project deployment, ML pipeline management and LLM fine-tuning infrastructure.

•At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Python-based predictive modeling and LLM fine-tuning, including model development, validation, and production deployment.

•Experience in preparing and submitting Research & Development proposals for funding under Horizon2020, Horizon Europe or similar programs, particularly proposals involving data science, AI/ML components and Large Language Model applications

•At least 2 years of experience in data pipeline orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, Prefect, etc.) with experience in LLM training and inference workflows
• Very good financial acumen and budget management skills

•Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders while meeting project deadlines.

•Self-motivated with a passion for emerging technologies in AI/ML and LLM fine-tuning.

•Experience in contributing to Horizon Europe proposals with focus on data-driven

research components
