Scope of role

As a Junior Backend Engineer at StellarBlue, you will be instrumental in shaping the backbone of our software solutions. This role is not just about maintaining existing systems, but actively contributing to the development of new and innovative backend functionalities. Key aspects of your role will include:

• Development with the latest .NET Technologies:
  Utilizing .NET 8 or above for building robust backend systems, with a strong emphasis on modern software architectures, features and practices.
• Engagement with ORM Tools:
  Usage of ORM tools, particularly EF Core, to efficiently manage and manipulate data in complex energy market operations.
• Computational Modeling and Analysis:
  Engaging in computational processes crucial for the energy markets, such as predictive modeling, analytics platform, and simulation of energy market dynamics.
• Proficiency in Containerization and Microservices Architecture:
  Leveraging Docker and other containerization tools to create, deploy, and manage lightweight, portable, self-sufficient containers for our software applications.
• Integration and Optimization:
  Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate .NET applications seamlessly with various systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Innovative Problem-Solving:
  Addressing unique challenges in the energy sector by developing innovative software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making processes.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Demonstrable experience with C# on .NET 8 or above, .NET Core, or .NET Framework.
• Previous experience with connecting relational databases using the backend.
• Familiarity with Git or other Version Control systems.
• A willingess for problem-solving and teamwork.

Will be considered a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Previous experience with .NET APIs, including MVC.
• Expertise in ORM tools like EF Core.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with SQL databases.
• Previous experience with Docker.
• Certifications in relative fields.
