ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of its client, a prominent manufacturing company based near Thessaloniki with over 30 years of presence and a strong export orientation, renowned for its commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability, is looking for an experienced and driven Executive to fill the following position:

Accounting Manager (Ref.5784/CA/ESS/GR)

The Accounting Manager will report to and work closely with the CFO and will be responsible for monitoring the functions of the Accounting Department

Main Tasks:

  • Organize and supervise the smooth and efficient operation of the accounting department.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of ERP peripheral systems across all cycles (purchases, sales, cost accounting, fixed assets, payroll, VAT subsystem, INTRASTAT, etc.) and ensure the correct submission of "myDATA."
  • Prepare and timely submit all tax obligations of the company and ensure prompt payment, when required.
  • Supervise the completion of accounting records for the extraction of monthly and annual results, create financial statements and ensure their submission.
  • Oversee the execution of all accounting tasks to ensure compliance with relevant legislative provisions and ensure the ongoing training and guidance of subordinates.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of the accounting team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assure the continuous improvement and modernization of the accounting system.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Auditing, or related disciplines will be a plus
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience - previous experience in similar industries is considered as a strong asset
  • Holding A' class Accountant professional license is necessary
  • Knowledge of tax and commercial legislation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
  • Good command of English.
  • Strong managerial skills.
  • Professionalism, responsibility, reliability, teamwork and confidentiality.
  • Analytical thinking and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent collaborative and strong communications skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
