Seaborne Shipbrokers S.A. is a leading provider of Client focused Shipbroking services based in Athens, Greece dealing with Sale & Purchase, Newbuildings contracting, Chartering and Financial Advisory services to Shipowners, Private and Public Equity investors and Credit Institutions.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated full-time Accountant or Assistant Accountant to join the Accounting Department and report to the Financial Controller.

The requirements for this position are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field
  • Proven meaningful work experience in a similar position for at least 5 years, in the Shipping industry or related
  • Computer literate (Proficiency in MS Office Suite)
  • Knowledge of a Shipping Software
  • Excellent command of English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Manage the daily bookkeeping records

· Manage the daily accounting tasks (receivables, payables, reconciliations, etc.)

· Assist with the preparation of the Financial Statements

· Liaise with External Auditors for all Companies of the Group

· Prepare various accounting periodical reports

· Assist in the registration/dissolution of the Group's Companies

· Manage relations with all banks and accounting service providers

· Develop and maintain a filing system of financial obligations
