Over the years, KMOP has broadened its impact to a global scale, maintaining a presence in three countries—Greece, Belgium, and North Macedonia—with permanent offices in Athens, Piraeus, Kifissia, Thessaloniki, Brussels, and Skopje. At the heart of KMOP's mission is the commitment to tackle social  challenges  through  evidence-based  solutions  that  foster  individual  and collective  prosperity.  Our  approach  focuses  on  creating  and  implementing innovative social programs to build self-worth, reduce inequalities, and promote inclusive and sustainable development.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Writer / Bid Manager to join our fundraising team. In this role, you will support both the development of high-quality proposals and the preparation of bids, ensuring that KMOP submits complete, competitive, and compliant applications to a wide range of EU and national funding programs (Horizon, Erasmus+, AMIF, CERV, ESF+, National Funds, etc.). The role requires an interdisciplinary outlook, with exposure to diverse sectors such as social services, education, migration, human rights, employment, the social and green economy, and health promotion. Previous direct experience in all these fields is not required, but interest and willingness to learn across sectors are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Undertake the full proposal development process, including research, drafting, editing, and submission activities
  • Identify funding opportunities and analyze call guidelines and criteria to ensure alignment with KMOP's priorities
  • Draft, proofread, and finalize sections of proposals and related documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with program requirements
  • Manage bid preparation tasks: compile and review documentation, complete administrative forms, check eligibility criteria, and support budget development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input for proposals
  • Liaise with partners, program authorities, and stakeholders during the proposal and bid submission process
  • Represent KMOP in networking activities and events to strengthen partnerships and explore new opportunities
  • Follow up on post-submission tasks, including responding to clarifications, supporting contractualization, and ensuring timely communication with partners
  • Stay informed about funding programs and emerging policy priorities relevant to KMOP's areas of work

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, humanities, political science, economics, or related field. Master's will be considered an asset.
  • 1-3 years of experience in proposal writing and/or bid support for EU or National funding programs
  • Familiarity with EU funding platforms and administrative forms
  • Near-native use of English, and excellent writing skills, both in Greek and in English
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in checking compliance and eligibility
  • Ability to collaborate within a team while also maintaining the autonomy, focus, and time management skills required to deliver high-quality written outputs under strict deadlines
  • Interest in the social sector, with some knowledge of fields such as education, employment, migration, human rights, social economy, green economy, or health promotion

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • A mid-entry role with strong growth potential and the opportunity to contribute to projects with real social impact
  • Mentoring and hands-on training by experienced professionals in proposal writing and EU funding
  • A competitive remuneration package, complemented by fringe benefits
  • Excellent working conditions in a collaborative, inclusive, and friendly workplace
