Our client is a globally recognized construction company with a strong presence across Europe and the Middle East. Known for delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, they are currently expanding their operations in Greece and are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their Athens office and lead their residential developments on-site.

The Role

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of all onsite activities related to our residential construction projects. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities on-site.
  • Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, site workers, and suppliers to ensure timely project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all building codes, health & safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve any technical issues or delays.
  • Liaise with project managers and the design team for successful project delivery.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
  • Ensure proper documentation and quality control procedures are followed on-site.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree will be considered a plus).
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in civil engineering, specifically within residential construction.
  • Strong knowledge of Greek and EU building regulations and construction standards.
  • Previous experience in managing on-site operations and construction teams.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Civil 3D) and MS Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English and Greek is required.

Professional Memberships

  • Must be a registered Civil Engineer with the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) or an equivalent international engineering body.
  • Membership in additional professional institutions (e.g., ASCE, ICE) will be considered an asset.
