About the Job

The Senior Rolling Stock Project Manager will support and monitor the successful execution and preparation for entry to service of the new EMU fleet, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong project management and analytical skills to lead the delivery of the new EMU fleet project from design through entry into service in compliance with EU regulations and corporate policies.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing, and directing the delivery of new rolling stock fleet from design to integration and entry into service.
  • Manage contracts and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
  • Coordinate stakeholders at national and international level, including suppliers, infrastructure managers, and regulatory bodies
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead supplier coordination and coordinate technical reviews, ensuring that risk analyses, design variations, and verification documents are compliant with EU Regulations (402/2013, 1136/2015, 545/2018 and TSIs)
  • Ensure traceability of system changes, documentation updates, and regulatory approvals through structured document control and quality assurance processes

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management or similar and relevant professional experience in a comparable, complex role
  • Experience in contract management, including negotiation, administration, and monitoring of supplier performance against contractual obligations
  • Experience in risk and change management in complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Experience in maintenance of rolling stock or heavy machinery or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification in project management such as PMP
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industrial standards (e.g. ISO, CENELEC), in particular CSM Regulation and EN 50126/50129 safety standards
  • Familiarity with railway systems and railway operation & maintenance procedure
  • 10 years of professional experience in similar tasks
  • Experience preferably in the railway industry, particularly with rolling stock maintenance, renovation, or project management
  • Strong data analysis and planning software proficiency (Excel, MS Project, etc.)
