Head of Credit Underwriting

Your challenge
You will be based at our Athens Headquarters, working within the Credit Department as Head of Credit UW team, reporting directly to the Credit Director of Allianz Trade in Greece. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing an effective team, managing relationships with customers and brokers, and implementing Allianz Trade's credit strategy in Greece. You will oversee risk management, collaborate with commercial teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

You Will Be Primarily Responsible For The Following Activities

• Build and lead an effective team, fostering skill development and maintaining high motivation levels.
• Establish and nurture long-term, profitable relationships with customers and brokers.
• Execute Allianz Trade's credit strategy in Greece, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Develop and implement robust strategies to underwrite and monitor Allianz Trade's risk portfolio in Greece.
• Work closely with commercial teams to drive business success and synergy.
• Ensure all underwriting processes adhere to regulatory requirements and internal company policies

You Are An Ideal Candidate, If You Possess

• Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) and strong proficiency in analyzing financial statements.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in leading a team in a similar role within the Insurance or Banking sectors
• Excellent understanding of the local economy, industry sectors, and the global macroeconomic outlook.
• Entrepreneurial and resilient mindset able to work in a fast-paced, flexible work environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to forge solid relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken Greek & Business English is a must
• Desire to improve quality of service continuously.
• Ability to travel

Skills
