Reports to: Chief Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing and implementing of Accounting Module/Platform in collaboration with the Chief Accountant
  • Processes transactions within accounting module, reviews and approves entries posted by Accountants.
  • Prepares SPS costing for SPS Services and follows up with its clients for open balances
  • Reviews revenue based on supporting documents in order to ensure timely closing of accounts.
  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations and any other relevant documents.
  • Posting of entries to provide accurate settlement with clients.
  • Coordinates closely with the Purchasing department to resolve Accounts Payable invoice issues
  • On a monthly basis, checking & posting entries for Lubricants' Cost remaining on board per vessel.
  • On a quarterly basis checks Insurance & Claims completeness.
  • Prepares the monthly vessel reporting for operational and financial analysis, follows up on results and reports back to the Chief Accountant and/or Financial Director.
  • Monitors intercompany reconciliations.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • University graduate on Accounting, Finance or any related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Professional Qualifications (CPA,ACCA,ACA), A' Class signing right and knowledge of Navision will be considered an Asset.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines and pressure
  • Attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Communication skills.
