ELPEDISON, with its two privately-owned power plants in Thisvi (Voiotia) and Thessaloniki, with a total installed capacity of 820 MW, uses natural gas as fuel and ensures a clean and continuous electricity flow, based on a highly environmentally-friendly power generation process.
We are currently looking for an IT Support Intern to assist the IT team in providing technical support to end-users within the organization, focusing on basic hardware, software, and network issues. This internship is designed to offer hands-on experience in IT troubleshooting, logging support requests, and escalating more complex problems to senior team members. The intern will help with device setup, basic user account management, and maintaining documentation for common issues and resolutions. This entry-level role emphasizes learning and growth while developing communication skills, foundational technical knowledge, and a customer-focused mindset in a collaborative environment.
What will you do:
- IT Team Contributor: Demonstrate professionalism, ethics, and responsibility while learning and contributing to the IT team with tasks and projects in a collaborative manner.
- Ticket Management: Learn to use the ITSM ticketing system to log and process basic and entry Level 1 helpdesk requests. Assist in escalating unresolved issues to senior team members for follow-up and resolution.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting (basic): Provide initial support for common IT issues, such as login problems and basic software or hardware troubleshooting, under supervision. Assist users with basic issues in office productivity tools, email, and enterprise software. Gain exposure to software troubleshooting techniques.

- Hardware and Software Setup: Help with the configuration of devices like desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Assist in updating software and maintaining standard configurations, while gaining hands-on experience with standard processes and tools. Learn to manage user accounts, including password resets and permissions, under supervision. Assist with onboarding tasks like setting up new user accounts.
- Documentation and User Support: Contribute to documenting common issues and solutions. Assist users by guiding them through basic troubleshooting steps and providing helpful tips. Enhance end-user understanding of common IT tools.
- IT Asset Maintenance: Help with basic IT stock maintenance tasks like checking hardware availability, updating/upgrading workstations under supervision, and tracking equipment and consumables.
- IT Framework: Observe and learn IT policies, tools, and best practices to build foundational knowledge for IT operations and security.
What you need to be successful:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration or a closely related field or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of hardware, operating systems (Windows), and networking fundamentals
- Microsoft 365 and/or Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA A+, ITIL 4 Foundation r equivalent experience is a nice to have.
- Very good customer service and communication skills.
- Familiarity with office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, Microsoft 365).
- Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of English.
