
Sales & Business Development Manager

Optimal, on behalf of its client in the financial services industry,is seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager.
Scope of role:
The Sales & Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the company's commercial strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth and market expansion and reports to the General Director.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop & execute the commercial strategy, aligning with sales, marketing & business objectives.
- Drive revenue growth by strengthening retail partnerships & identifying new opportunities.
- Expand the business ecosystem with profitable new products & services.
- Own commercial policy, including pricing, incentives & channel strategy.
- Lead & oversee Area Managers & Business Development teams, ensuring performance through key metrics.
- Set sales targets, monitor KPIs & drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a high-performance culture through coaching & team development.
- Analyze market trends & pricing strategies to refine commercial initiatives.
- Collaborate with Marketing on sales campaigns & lead generation.
- Leverage digital tools to enhance sales, customer engagement & market intelligence.
- Ensure compliance with policies & industry regulations.
- Strengthen partner relationships, improve retention & implement loyalty programs.
- Build & maintain key stakeholder relationships to drive growth.
- Contribute to business strategy as part of the Company's leadership team.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in Commercial roles including at least 3 years in managerial positions, B2B sales experience, preferably within the retail industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's or MBA is a plus.
- Demonstrate a strong track record of exceeding aggressive sales targets.
- Analytical skills in P&L management, sales incentives, and commercialization strategies.
- Proficiency in leveraging digital tools and CRM systems (Softone)
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, expanding the company's product and service ecosystem.
- The role requires 25% traveling within Greece and potentially internationally.
