
Purchasing Specialist

As a procurement specialist, you will play a key role in enhancing our supply chain operations. Your expertise will ensure seamless purchasing processes, foster strong supplier relationships, and contribute directly to our mission of efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company policies and procedures.
- Source, negotiate, and procure raw materials and finished products to meet production timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality Control, and Logistics teams to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
- Review, manage, and maintain supplier contracts to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and explore alternative sourcing options.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports using advanced analytical tools (e.g., Excel) to support data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management (experience in manufacturing/chemical industries is an asset).
- Advanced proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively with global suppliers and stakeholders.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with procurement software/systems.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management abilities.
