Strategic Account Development Manager

Job Description:

The Account Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and business expansion. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic plans for assigned accounts, aligning with company objectives to achieve profitable and sustainable results.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies to grow revenue across assigned accounts.
  • Organizing meetings, presentations, and demonstrations to promote services and products to business customers.
  • Promoting and selling diesel engine components, upgrade systems, academy courses, technical service, and similar packages.
  • Preparing and providing required sales documentation and promotional material to customers.
  • Coordinating with functional groups and different levels of employees throughout the global organization to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Meeting annual sales targets plus other key performance indicators.
  • Following up on sales quotations, negotiating, and visiting customers based on a weekly plan and company processes.
  • Closely liaising with ship owners and vessel management companies, handling their questions and disputes, and providing technical support in coordination with the technical department.
  • Resolving conflicts and providing solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Providing feedback to management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings.
  • Conducting all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Assisting in structuring business channels' strategy and recommending ideas to enhance market competitiveness.
  • Identifying new business opportunities through market analysis and customer feedback.
  • Identifying and developing prospect opportunities for the complete portfolio of products and services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A University degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of Sales experience, preferably in the Maritime industry or multinational company, demonstrating strong customer-focus and sales-driven skills.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Autonomy and proactiveness capacity.
  • Good analysis and problem-solving capacity.
  • Good teamwork and corporation skills.
  • Master or Business Management Degree will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
