Laundry Steward Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Steward to manage the inventory and maintenance of staff uniforms, linen, and terry cloth items. This role involves receiving and inspecting soiled items, ensuring they are clean, serviceable, and properly stored.

This position is responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, and delivery of all laundry-related items, adhering to procurement policies and operational efficiency guidelines.

About the Role
  • Receiving Clean & Sending Out Dirty:
    • Manage the end-to-end receiving and sending process for all uniforms, linen, and terry cloth.
    • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods, identifying and reporting any damages or discrepancies.
    • Ensure the receiving area is secure and that all procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
    • Adhere to guidelines for counting items to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Coordinate with all departments to ensure timely delivery of laundry items, maintaining a smooth 'dirty for clean' exchange process.

  • Proven experience in a similar position within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong communication skills in Greek.
