Global Systems Optimization Specialist

About the Role

Indeavor seeks an innovative Global Systems Optimization Specialist to collaborate with our experienced team in navigating the complexities of hybrid Linux and Windows environments across multiple global regions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pushing boundaries, driving peak performance, and optimizing systems on a large scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage global clusters spanning multiple regions, ensuring seamless operations and maximum efficiency.
  • Automate deployment processes to guarantee smooth releases and updates, minimizing downtime and enhancing user experience.
  • Monitor system health using cutting-edge tools like Datadog and Grafana Stack, providing real-time insights for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with software developers to optimize the development pipeline, streamlining workflows and improving overall productivity.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Helm, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Provide Level 3 support, addressing and resolving escalated technical issues efficiently and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, although passion and drive can trump experience.
  • Proficiency with cloud services and infrastructure, ideally AWS.
  • Experience with Linux environments, ideally including Windows as well.
  • Mastery of Kubernetes and Terraform, with familiarity with kOps being a plus.
  • Scripting prowess in Bash and/or Go.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Containers, Helm, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Strong English communication skills – both written and spoken.
  • A collaborative approach, paired with a readiness to mentor and learn.
