As a Sous Chef, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring culinary standards are met and maintained, while mentoring junior staff. Your creativity and expertise will be essential in developing innovative dishes that align with our commitment to luxury and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in developing menus emphasizing local ingredients and aligning with our culinary vision.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring food preparation meets established quality standards.
  • Maintain high culinary standards across all dishes, contributing to the hotel's reputation for excellence.
  • Monitor inventory and control costs by managing stock levels and coordinating supply orders as needed.
  • Train and mentor culinary team members, reinforcing best practices in food preparation, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring efficient workflow and service continuity.
  • Assist in planning and executing food production for hotel events, banquets, and special functions.
  • Collaborate closely with banquet and service teams to ensure coordinated efforts and exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Sous Chef position or similar role in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • A degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is required; additional certifications are beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse kitchen team, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Strong creativity and ability to develop innovative dishes and menus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, capable of performing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, fluent in Greek and English, with strong interpersonal abilities.
