Financial Accountant Job Description

Job Role:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for performing financial transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate supplier ledger by ensuring timely and correct recording of transactions.
  • Process invoices and resolve supplier-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Coding and entry of supplier invoices and general office operating expenses.
  • Application of cost accounting practices to ensure matching invoices with purchase orders and budget controls.
  • Investigation and resolution of invoice discrepancies or mismatches between services received and billed.
  • Preparation of reports on supplier performance or cost trends as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • Proven experience in supplier accounting or accounts payable roles.
  • Strong understanding of ledger maintenance, invoice processing, and reconciliation practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work constructively within a team environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to foster a positive work environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Results-driven personality, with energy, commitment, and passion for learning and development.
