At Sol Group, we produce and distribute technical and medical gases in the industrial and hospital sectors. With over 110 years of presence in Greece, we have established ourselves as a reliable partner for customized innovative solutions.

We are currently looking for an Applications and Sales Engineer to join our team in Athens. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering industrial and technical solutions across various dynamic industries such as Food & Beverage, Materials & Construction, and Oil & Energy.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Identifying new opportunities and developing new markets
  • Promoting innovative technical solutions associated with gases
  • Collaborating with sales, technical, and engineering teams to develop and implement new solutions
  • Managing major accounts and delivering services to maintain high client satisfaction
  • BUILDING AND DEVELOPING STRONG, LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS AND PARTNERS
  • Leading contract negotiations and finalizing agreements
  • CREATING, DEVELOPING, AND IMPLEMENTING STRATEGIES ALIGNED WITH BUSINESS OBJECTIVES
  • Driving revenue growth and improving profitability
  • Conducting business analysis and presenting recommendations to senior management

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; an MBA will be considered a plus
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in relevant positions, preferably in an industrial or technical environment with B2B sales experience
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • P&L responsibility and strategic planning expertise
  • Solution-oriented approach
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to be polite and compassionate
  • Accountable and well-organized
  • Taking initiative and being proactive
