We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Fleet Operator
to join our
Operations team
. In this role, you will supervise a fleet of assigned vessels, oversee vessel movements, cargo operations, and ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all marine-related activities. You will play a vital part in maintaining Neptune Lines' high standards of performance and service.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, key accountabilities include:

  • Oversee the daily operational activities of the RoRo fleet.
  • Ensure proper voyage instructions to the fleet related to operational, cargo and loss prevention matters.
  • Plan and monitor load and discharge operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Act as the primary communication channel with the vessel's Master, providing essential details such as fixture instructions, port requirements, and cargo precautions.
  • Review vessel pre-stowage plans and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Liaise closely with port agents, local authorities, and internal teams to guarantee smooth operations.
  • Visit vessels to assess and report on cargo securing, stowage practices, and general operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Sea service on RoRo / PCTC vessels as a Deck Officer (holding a valid Certificate of Competency), and/or a University degree in Maritime Studies or a relevant field.
  • Minimum
    5 years
    of professional experience in a similar operational role.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Greek and English.
  • Solid understanding of shipping operations and logistics planning.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with a hands-on and collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) ERP system is considered an asset.
