Fraud Management System Product Manager

Commsquare is currently looking to expand their Network Fraud Detection team based in Athens, Greece, with a Fraud Management System Product Manager. The role concerns working closely with the senior product team to develop and translate a vision for the product and being responsible for communicating that vision to the fraud team. The qualified candidate will act as a fraud analyst within the FMS team, identifying and investigating fraud cases in Voice, Data, and SMS by analysing Call Detail Records. Based on these findings, the candidate will define and drive product requirements, working with the development team to deliver new detection capabilities. The role will from time to time involve traveling and working abroad for short periods.

Main Responsibilities

• Define the vision for the product and inspire the development team
• Participate in the internal R&D tracks for introducing new analysis algorithms and modules
• Analyse Call Detail Records (CDRs) and network data to detect abnormal usage patterns and uncover new fraud cases
• Make, together with other members of the team, in-depth analysis of performance issues encountered and write recommendations on how to improve the product
• Write the corresponding product specifications for implementation by the development team
• Follow agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum and Extreme programming - XP) and maintain the backlog of the product in JIRA
• Align with stakeholders and set priorities for the product development cycles
• Collaborate with senior management, sales and support to translate business requirements into user stories for the development team
• Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally, including visiting and discussing with customers to gather and validate requirements
• Be the primary contact point for product related queries and act as an escalation point for critical support issues
• Lead external projects: coordination and planning of the necessary resources and liaising with customer
• Provide internal and external technical presentations and workshops
• Monitor the market and develop competitive analyses

Basic qualifications and experience

• BSc or MSc in Data Science, Electrical Engineering or Telecoms Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in mobile network fraud detection, CDR analysis, or related roles
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, leading Agile teams and managing product backlogs
• Good understanding of all mobile technologies (2G, 3G, LTE, 5G) and IP protocols
• Hands-on experience for data exploration e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau or Power BI)
• Working proficiency in English

Favoured qualifications and experience

• Familiarity with data visualization and scripting (e.g. Python)
• Proven experience in SQL and databases
• Understanding of IP protocols and their impact on mobile data performance
• Experience in programming
• Fluency in Dutch or French.
