As the Duty Manager, you will be a key player in the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring that every guest has a seamless and enjoyable experience. You will be responsible for overseeing front office operations, managing guest relations, and ensuring that all departments operate smoothly to provide outstanding service to our guests. In this role, your decision-making ability and problem-solving skills will be critical in addressing guest needs, resolving issues, and maintaining the hotel's standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring all departments consistently deliver premium service to guests.
- Serve as the primary contact for guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints, resolving issues swiftly and professionally.
- Oversee front desk procedures including guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservation handling.
- Collaborate closely with all hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and a consistently elevated guest experience.
- Conduct routine inspections of public areas, rooms, and facilities to uphold cleanliness, presentation, and brand standards.
- Support employee training and foster a positive, team-oriented work culture.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Manage emergency situations and represent hotel management during off-hours or in the absence of senior leadership.
- Monitor room availability, overbooking situations, and special requests in coordination with Front Office and Housekeeping.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, SOPs, brand standards, and emergency procedures.
- Communicate key issues and service highlights to Executive Management via duty reports or handovers.
- Personally welcome and ensure smooth arrivals/departures for VIPs and Hilton Honors Elite guests.
- Ensure all security, health & safety, and guest privacy protocols are strictly followed.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the hotel industry, preferably in luxury hospitality.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a guest-centric approach to service.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with a diverse clientele and team.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
- Fluency in Greek and English is essential.
