As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will be part of our Financial Reporting team in Athens and you'll play a crucial part in the supervision of the group accounting consolidation and financial reporting process including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual statutory financial reports in accordance with IFRSs and the requirements applied to listed entities.

A Day in the Life of a Financial Reporting Manager at Qualco will include: 

  • Lead and manage the full consolidation process of the Group entities, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with Group Accounting policies and IFRS and the requirements of the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions to ensure elimination of intercompany profits and balances in consolidation. Support the preparation of consolidation entries
  • Coordinate with accounting team across subsidiaries and associates to gather, validate, and consolidate financial data, ensuring consistency and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis on consolidated financial results and investigate significant fluctuations or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate closely with Group Accounting, Controlling, FP&A and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in the integration and accounting on-boarding of newly acquired entities into the consolidation process.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining consolidation processes and increasing automation.

· Contribute to ad-hoc projects related to financial reporting, group compliance, or strategic initiatives impacting consolidation and group accounting.

  • Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent;
  • 8+ years of relevant working experience including at least 2+ years in a senior consolidation/accounting role within large group entities or in accounting outsourcing services of Big 4 audit & consulting firms.
  • Proven experience in the consolidation process of financial statements, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and foreign currency translation adjustments.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of IFRS as applied to consolidated financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software and working with large ERP systems; specific experience in Microsoft D365 systems and/or SAP BPC reporting software will be considered as assets;
  • Professional accountancy qualification or working towards gaining one (ACCA, ACA, CPA, SOEL, Tax qualifications) will be considered as assets;
  • Experience in producing statutory financial statements based on IFRSs,
  • Excellent skill level in all Microsoft Office Programs;
  • Strong communication and social skills, and;
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking and shifting priorities quickly under pressure and tight deadlines.
