As part of its development, Volton strengthens its human resources in Athens and seeks a Junior BI Data Engineer.

We are looking for a Junior BI Data Engineer to join our growing Data Warehouse team. This position will assist in most functions regarding Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence & Reporting, with the primary focus revolving around Data Engineering tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Data discovery and extraction from multiple sources (cloud platforms, transactional systems, files etc.)
  • Development of data pipelines
  • Data transformation and cleansing
  • Data model design in collaboration with data architects
  • Requirements analysis in collaboration with business analysts
  • Data analysis, visualization, and reporting
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field
  • 1-2 years of related working experience
  • Good understanding of SQL and data modeling techniques, preferably some experience with T-SQL
  • Knowledge of ETL process design and experience with an ETL tool, ideally SSIS
  • Experience in Reporting and Data Visualization tools, ideally Power BI
  • Knowledge of OLTP, Data Warehouse relational and multi-dimensional databases design and implementation (Normal Forms, Star Schemas, etc.)
  • Good command of at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C# or any other modern language
