is currently looking to recruit an experienced
Project Engineer
who will direct the planning and preparation of shipbuilding and modification projects and oversee implementation. The role will strive for successful completion and realization of company's business objectives while ensuring deadlines, budget and contractual quality standards are being met.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the compilation of technical specifications related to company's commercial tenders, including review & outline of specifications and assessment of shipyard detail, in accordance to RFP requirements and company standards.
  • Cooperate and communicate with the project manager and other project participants and senior engineers to create efficient project methods and to maintain timely execution of the project.
  • Liaise internally with all necessary departments to develop integrated cost-effective solutions with justifiable business value within new projects' design basis, aiming to operational efficiency.
  • Assist in Plan Approval, support with daily interaction with the chosen shipyard, exchange project information with team/manager, assist in identifying critical issues to ensure successful implementation of projects according to contractual agreement and company growth.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, according to company's needs and proceed to all required actions to ensure their successful completion.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports to Senior Management, which accurately depict project status, financial resources, or sign of risks to the project success.
  • Review technological developments in the maritime industry, in order to identify, propose, and incorporate new technologies in the company's commercial / technical offers.
  • Support the accurate execution of department's budget, identify and report cost saving opportunities and propose corrective actions in case of deviations, in order to ensure compliance with set targets.
  • Liaise with Classification Societies and regulatory bodies on new rules and regulations to be introduced and implemented on new projects.
  • Be prepared to replace or assist any Site Manager whenever necessary.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • University degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or as a Site Manager/Supervisor at a major Korean shipyard for an LNGC project. Experience in a Site Office position for other projects will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • LNG or / and LPG gas carrier vessel sailing experience will be considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly MS Office.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • High sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
