Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Full-Stack Developer at CERTH, focused on the development and evolution of simulation platforms. The main responsibilities include supporting our team by developing and maintaining both the frontend (React) and backend ) components of the platforms, as well as managing PostgreSQL databases.

The position also involves developing Python scripts for automating Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) workflows and Life Cycle Costing (LCC) calculations, and integrating custom Python tools into our simulation and analytics environment. Collaboration with research partners, industrial stakeholders, and project teams is essential, ensuring that technical developments align with analytical and decision-support needs in European projects.

Candidates should have strong Python and web development skills, with familiarity in quantitative methods and modeling tools. Experience in Machine Learning is considered an asset for enhancing the platform's analytical capabilities. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for effective interdisciplinary collaboration and the successful delivery of project outcomes

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in full-stack web development (React, )
  • Strong proficiency in Python, including development of automation scripts and analytical tools
  • Experience with PostgreSQL database design, management, and optimization
  • Ability to integrate custom Python scripts into web-based platforms and simulation environments
  • Familiarity with Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) methods and Life Cycle Costing (LCC) calculations is considered an advantage
  • Experience with Machine Learning techniques is a strong asset, especially for analytical tool development in EU-funded projects
  • Solid understanding of quantitative methods, modeling tools, and data processing workflows
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with research partners, industrial stakeholders, and interdisciplinary project teams
