The Role
We are looking for a
Data Engineer
to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure that power business insights and decision-making. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of our Digital Delivery Team to ensure reliable data flow, implement scalable solutions, and maintain data quality across multiple systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience with SQL, Python, and modern data platforms (e.g., cloud services, data warehouses, ETL frameworks), with a passion for turning raw data into accessible, actionable information.
You will contribute to growing our current data infrastructure by optimizing and modernizing our technology stack and workflows, from our databases and data storage solutions all the way to our reporting solutions. You will help adapt and modernize legacy systems to our team's new standards.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Develop and optimize data models for analytics and reporting.
- Manage and optimize cloud-based resources to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across systems.
- Drive process improvements, refine procedures, and elevate best practices in data processing, data architecture, governance, and documentation.
- Write technical documentation for the tools you develop as well as user instructions for the end user.
Your Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, engineering or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in the field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, or similar platforms. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data warehouse stack is a plus.
- Professional written and spoken English is a must.
- You are a fast learner and have solid analytical skills.
- We expect you to be self-driven, curious, eager to learn and keen to challenge yourself with new tasks in a changing and challenging environment. Interacting with other teams, listening to customer needs and translating them into technical requirements.
