Our client a venture capital management firm specializing in seed-stage funding of technology companies is seeking an
Investment Associate
. The firm invests in and works alongside ambitious entrepreneurs, helping them build transformational global businesses. With a dynamic team, stimulating working environment, and international outlook, the firm has invested in dozens of startups and maintains a strong co-investor network across Europe and beyond.

Main Role

The Investment Associate will assist the Partners in analyzing and evaluating investment opportunities by researching sector trends, key characteristics, and differentiating factors to support decision-making. The role also involves regular portfolio company monitoring and investor communication and reporting. The position is based in
Athens Greece
and reports to the Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze potential investment targets using quantitative, qualitative, and technology-based criteria; prepare investment memos
  • Support transaction execution, including deal structuring, due diligence, and legal documentation
  • Monitor target sectors and technologies, track trends, and produce periodic digests
  • Maintain fund performance metrics and prepare reports and presentations for investors on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Assist in fund and management company operations, including KYC/AML processes
  • Monitor portfolio company performance (KPIs, growth, etc.) and assist in their development (recruitment, fundraising, business development)

Skills & Essential Requirements

  • Strong academic background (BSc in Engineering, IT, Economics/Business, or similar); ideally with a technology foundation and understanding of market and competition dynamics
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in technology, consulting, or startups (not finance)
  • Tech-savvy, with either hands-on experience in or strong understanding of cutting-edge technology; demonstrable curiosity about new tech developments
  • Experience producing managerial reports for decision-making, including data structuring and automation
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and the local language
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; strong personal motivation

Desirable Qualifications

  • Understanding of venture capital economics and investment mechanisms
  • Operational experience in a startup environment
  • Existing network of startups or investors
  • Master's degree or MBA considered an asset
