The Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled
DevOps Engineer
to join a long-term project in Athens. This is a 12-month freelance contract (with strong potential for extension) offering the chance to work on large-scale cloud-native platforms within a high-performing engineering culture.

You'll be joining an expert team delivering critical infrastructure projects, helping to shape technical solutions from the ground up. The role offers autonomy, direct collaboration with senior stakeholders, and the chance to influence strategy as well as delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure with a focus on
    AWS
  • Implement and manage containerisation using
    Docker
    and
    Kubernetes
    .
  • Develop automation scripts in
    Python
    and
    Bash
    .
  • Work closely with C-suite and senior engineers on solution design, technical roadmaps, and delivery priorities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to DevOps teams, driving best practices and high standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Deep knowledge of
    AWS services
  • Strong hands-on experience with
    Docker, Kubernetes
    , and cloud-native monitoring solutions.
  • Proven scripting ability with
    Python and Bash
    (Java/Go a plus).
  • Background working in high-performance engineering cultures, ideally across both product and consultancy settings.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
