99 Yards Academy is the educational and community arm of 99 Yards, designed to connect aspiring fashion professionals, students, and creatives with industry insights, resources, and opportunities. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of talent in fashion and fashion tech.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Social Media Intern to join the 99 Yards Academy team for a 3-month internship. This is a great opportunity for a student or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in content creation, community building, and digital marketing within the fashion and fashion tech space.

Key Responsibilities / Learning Opportunities

  • Develop and schedule engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).

  • Assist with creating stories, reels, and posts to promote 99 Yards Academy's events, workshops, and educational initiatives.

  • Monitor social media platforms, engage with followers, and respond to community comments and messages.

  • Support the marketing team with campaign planning, influencer outreach, and hashtag research.

  • Help grow social media presence and track engagement metrics to inform content strategy.

  • Brainstorm and pitch new ideas for content that will resonate with fashion students and industry professionals.

Qualifications

  • Currently a student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Fashion, or a related field (preferred but not required).

  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and trends.

  • Creative eye for visuals and storytelling.

  • Basic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar) are a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
