The Role

We are currently seeking a
Freight Forwarder
to join our Road Freight Operations team, with a primary focus on
imports from Italy
. This position involves overseeing freight forwarding processes, maintaining strong communication with clients and partners, and ensuring the efficient handling of shipments.

managing and optimizing road freight operations

This role involves

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage
    freight forwarding operations
    for road freight imports.
  • Investigate and plan the most appropriate route for a shipment, considering the nature of goods, cost, transit time and security.
  • Negotiate transportation and handling costs.
  • Coordinate
    offers, CMR, scheduling of deliveries, and receipts
    .
  • Communicate with
    clients, agents, and carriers
    to ensure seamless shipment handling.
  • Assign
    loading orders
    to partners and track their progress.
  • Maintain
    accurate records
    and ensure compliance with
    logistics regulations
    .
  • Contribute to
    team development
    and share best practices within the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    in Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience
    in a Freight Forwarding or Logistics company.
  • Fluency in English
    (written and verbal); knowledge of Italian is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Office & ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
