As a
QA Test Engineer
, you will be responsible for analyzing the customer requirements and design testing strategies that will demonstrate conformance to functional and non-functional requirements. The role involves designing and executing the test plans, creating test reports and managing all activities to ensure that all product and quality objectives are met.

Responsibilities :

  • Create test specifications, test cases, acceptance test plans, procedures and reports
  • Conduct and document test execution, both manual and automated
  • Participate in the software release and deployment process.
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects, and verify fixes.
  • Design and write automated test scripts based on Python and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables
  • Work closely with developers and the support team to identify and resolve defects, during development and production phase.

Required Skills :

  • 4 years of experience in full lifecycle testing of software and / or embedded applications
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Proven experience with Linux operating system.
  • Proven experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP/REST APIs).
  • Experience with Bash and/or Python scripting.
  • Strong communications skills, able to explain complex issues to people with varying technical backgrounds and depth of knowledge
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Be pro-active and be capable of working on their own initiative with minimum supervision

Desired Skills :

  • Experience with automated testing is a big plus
  • Some familiarity with software (C, C++, Java)
  • Able to work safely and confidently with hardware devices.
