Job Description

We are seeking a skilled
Full-Stack Web Developer
specialized in
OpenCart CMS
to join our team, based in Athens. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of
both front-end and back-end development
, with a focus on building and maintaining e-commerce websites using OpenCart platform. The candidate should be passionate about contributing to all phases of development life cycle, delivering high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly web experiences.

Qualifications


• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)


• 2+ years of professional experience working with OpenCart platform


• Proficiency in PHP programming language


• In-depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Ajax


• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases


• Ability to translate UI/UX designs from tools like Adobe XD or Figma into functional front-end code


• Experience in developing and customizing OpenCart extensions, modules, and themes


• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)


• Familiarity with clean code principles, debugging, and performance optimization


• Knowledge of responsive web development principles

Additional Preferred Skills


• Experience with other platforms (e.g., WordPress, Magento)


• Experience with Bootstrap and Tailwind responsive frameworks


• Knowledge of technical SEO principles and performance optimization best practices (page speed, structured data, clean URLs)


• Knowledge of Laravel framework


• Basic knowledge of Linux-based hosting environments, Apache/Nginx, and cPanel

Daily Responsibilities

As part of our Web Development Team, your daily tasks will involve:


• Collaborating with the team to develop clean, well-designed, and high-performance e-commerce websites


• Contributing to the full development life cycle; requirement analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and quality assurance


• Participating in the maintenance and support of e-commerce websites


• Developing new features and OpenCart custom extensions


• Developing compliant front-end code based on static design files
