Beverage World, a fast-growing FMCG company and the exclusive distributor of a variety of global leading brands (such as Lavazza, Angostura, Brokers, Voreia Beer & Ouzo 12) in the Greek market, is looking for a self-driven and enthusiastic Accounting Assistant to join its dynamic Accounting team.

As a member of our Accounting team, you will be responsible for providing support to major financial accounting areas.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the month-end closing procedure
  • General accounting entries, bank entries
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support various accounting projects and activities on a daily basis
  • Provide assistance with the preparation of financial statements according to company policies
  • Assist with the preparation of withholding taxes
  • Prepare year-end fiscal documents
  • Provide assistance in all financial audits/ support auditors' inquiries related to specific documents
  • Assist with the AP master data maintenance
  • Process AP related invoices such as bookkeeping of invoices and checking that all necessary approvals are in place
  • Support the posting of expenses reports
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and postings
  • Assist with the updating fixed assets sub-ledger and other related postings
  • Support the team in the preparation of tax-related declarations and reports
  • Support bank/treasury inquiries

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 2 - 3 years' experience in Accounting
  • Knowledge of the local accounting regulations, policies and procedures
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Fluency in the English and Greek language
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office
