Let's start with the role

An exciting opportunity within our expanding Pre-Event Sports team. The position sits within the Trading division, with a focus on our Tennis product, contributing to our commitment to deliver a high-caliber, customized betting offer and an exceptional customer experience.

As a Junior Pre Event Trader, you will:
  • Trade Tennis betting events and monitor/manage liabilities to ensure risk is mitigated;
  • Compile odds for a wide variety of Tennis tournaments in a timely manner and own pre-event pricing;
  • Create and monitor betting markets and assist in controlling risk to achieve the optimal pre-event margin;
  • Create and manage additional markets ad hoc based on sophisticated customer demand;
  • Monitor and analyze customer activity, reporting to the Sportsbook Integrity team;
  • Consistently deliver outstanding service to our internal and external customers and ensure departmental KPIs are met;
  • Adhere to departmental SLAs and liaise with different departments, and support them with their sportsbook-related queries;
  • Assist with improving and developing trading tools.
 

What you will bring:

  • A degree in a quantitative field, (e.g., Finance, Statistics, Computing) is considered an asset;
  • Passion for Tennis with extensive knowledge of all aspects of the sport;
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including solid understanding of core sports statistics;
  • Experience as a bettor or familiarity with sportsbook operations;
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office programs (particularly MS Excel);
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written communication skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to take quick and well-informed decisions accordingly;
  • Self-organized, target-driven, and a team-player;
  • Willingness to work flexible time shifts in line with the business and the sporting calendar.
